Platinum Award Winners

Our incredible Year 8 and Year 9 sports students recently took centre stage at the Tunstall Town Athletics event, demonstrating outstanding leadership and community spirit.

A team of 20 dedicated students stepped up to help organise and run the tournament, which brought together nine local primary schools for a fantastic day of competition. From managing event stations to measuring results and encouraging the younger athletes, our students ensured the entire day ran smoothly, representing the academy with absolute distinction.

Thanks to the exceptional standards set by our sports leaders, we have also been officially awarded the highly coveted School Games Platinum Award. This is a monumental milestone, making us the very first school in the city to achieve Platinum status.

This prestigious award is a direct result of the consistent, long-term impact our sports leaders have made. A huge congratulations to the 20 students involved in the Tunstall Town event, and to all our leaders who have helped make city history. Your hard work and dedication are a credit to the academy.
