English
The Horizon English curriculum is designed to guide students from curiosity to confidence. We aim to develop not only strong reading, writing, and speaking skills, but also a deeper understanding of the world and students’ place within it. Through rich language and literature experiences, students explore how words shape ideas, identity, and society.
Our approach is carefully structured so that students build knowledge step by step. They learn about storytelling, writing styles, persuasive techniques, and the context behind texts. Each stage prepares them for the next, helping students progress smoothly from primary school through to secondary education and beyond. Key ideas are revisited in new ways, allowing students to strengthen their understanding and apply it with growing sophistication.
English at Horizon is about more than technical skills. We encourage students to think critically, express themselves creatively, and engage thoughtfully with the world around them. Through this curriculum, students become confident, articulate, and compassionate individuals—ready to reflect, create, and take part in the conversations that shape society.
