Employers Information
We are keen to give our students the widest possible experience of the working world whilst with us at OHA.
We are committed to broadening the horizons of our young people and challenging stereotypes around the world of work. Being able to meet and speak with employers and employees is an extremely valuable source of careers education and we are always eager to engage with local and national businesses and professionals.
There are several opportunities to get involved in our careers education programme and help inspire the next generation! Depending on your availability, you could:
- Give a short talk/workshop to a bespoke group of students
- Deliver whole cohort assemblies
- Provide workplace encounters at your establishments
- Provide workshops during Personal Development Days in the academy
- Assist with mock interviews
- Provide industry-focused lessons so that students are able to see how the learning they do at school can be used in the real world.
Your knowledge and experience could help a young person to find their calling.

Building Futures Together: CVM World and Ormiston Horizon Academy
At CVM World, we are incredibly proud of our ongoing partnership with Ormiston Horizon Academy and the opportunities we are able to provide to support students through meaningful, hands-on learning experiences in the real-world. Welcoming Year 10 students into our business for work experience across areas such as Mechanics, Electrics, Paint Spraying, and Coach Building has been hugely rewarding. Providing young people with workplace exposure allows them to develop practical skills, confidence, and an understanding of future career pathways and it has been fantastic to see some students return for voluntary placements during school holidays.
We have also been pleased to contribute to Ormiston Horizon Academy’s Year 8 careers programme, delivering talks and engaging sessions that introduce students to the wide range of roles available after education. These early careers talks help students gain valuable insight into future pathways and build awareness of the skills and opportunities available beyond the classroom. We also try our best to provide spare resources when possible, from notepads to timber, which the school finds invaluable for the Design and Technology Department.
As a business that specialises in vehicles for education (Minibus World), including school minibuses, we understand how important accessibility and opportunities are in supporting student development. By combining industry knowledge with education, we are helping students gain insight into both technical and office-based careers. We are looking forward to continuing and strengthening this valuable partnership in the years ahead. We would like to thank Ormiston Horizon Academy for their continued collaboration, support, and commitment to building strong partnerships that benefit both students and the wider community.
