PD DAY

We have just completed our second PD Day of 25-26, and it has been amazing!

Year 7, have either been on their residential, or with us taking part in inclusive sports and learning first aid.

Year 8 have been off map reading and trekking around Delamere Forest.

Year 9 have completed the Natwest Entrepreneur Challenge and created their own businesses, with Stoke on Trent heritage as their inspirations.
The winning business from OHA will attend the finals in July to go against other schools in the area.

Year 10 have taken part in a Science Forensics Day – checking fingerprints and money, blood spatter analysis and solving crimes.

Year 11 have had a hardworking day of Maths, English and Humanities, as well as workshops on exam stress and positive wellbeing. They have also just received their mock exam results during their celebration assemblies.

Days like today are important for all of us here at OHA. They are planned to empower our students to be confident, resilient and make informed and thoughtful choices regarding their lifestyles. We want to equip them with the skills, behaviours, knowledge and habits to develop all young people in society, as well as at school.

Thankyou to all staff for making days like this possible, the students for embracing it all so positively and to parents/carers for all the support that comes along with it.
