Debate Challenge

Before the Christmas break, Liam (Y10), Lena (Y9), Sophie (Y9), and Kiara (Y9) headed to the Stoke Town Hall for the Schools’ Debate Challenge.

Celebrating the Stoke-on-Trent centenary, our students tackled tough topics like green belt building and firework bans. They even met the Lord Mayor and the Speaker of the House of Commons, Sir Lindsay Hoyle MP, who praised them for being a strong voice for local youth.

The team won their first round and did us all proud. A fantastic, enriching experience for everyone involved!
