Ruby Joins OAT National Board
Horizon Student Ruby Joins OAT National Student Advisory Board!
Huge congratulations to Year 10 student Ruby, who has been selected as Horizon’s representative for the Ormiston Academies Trust (OAT) National Student Advisory Board (NSAB).
The NSAB is an incredible opportunity for students to ensure that young voices are heard right at the very top of OAT.
As a member, Ruby will represent over 30,000 other students across the Trust, sharing what matters most to young people and helping to shape key decisions about education, school culture, and daily life.
What does the role involve?
Being on the NSAB is a vital role with significant responsibilities, including:
Speak Up for Students: Sharing the priorities and concerns from Horizon and across the entire Trust.
Work with Senior Leaders: Meeting three times a year to influence and provide student perspectives on key decisions.
Gather Student Feedback: Finding out what matters most to students in different OAT schools.
Shape Improvements: Suggesting changes and feeding ideas that support OAT’s strategic vision for the future.
Feed Back to Peers: Ensuring students at Horizon know what has been discussed and decided by the Board.
We are incredibly proud of Ruby and wish her the best of luck in this important and influential role!
