Careers in Film

Our Year 8 and Year 9 students attended Framescape’s “Explore the World of Film Careers” at the Wade Conference Centre, Hartshill, supported by the Heritage Fund.

The afternoon introduced students to a range of creative career pathways, beginning with an inspiring talk from former Signal One presenter and current BT/TNT Sports journalist Jonty Sargeant, who shared insights into his journey from broadcasting to producing major sports documentaries featuring figures such as Ronaldo and Pelé.

Students also enjoyed a showcase of locally made films and heard from The Challenger Academy (formerly VCCP), who offered an informative look at the future of advertising and the diverse opportunities available within the film and creative industries in and around Stoke-on-Trent.

Overall, it was an excellent opportunity for our students to broaden their understanding of the exciting careers within the creative sector.
