Dear Parent, Carer
Unfortunately, after a detailed risk assessment this morning, we have made the really difficult decision to close the academy today. After the snow yesterday and the below freezing temperatures last night, our site is not safe to access by foot or by car. We realise this is a localised issue, as main roads seem to be manageable.
We feel that opening the academy today would put students, parents and staff at risk.
You have my full assurances that our Site Team are doing everything in their power to ensure that the site is safe and secured for tomorrow.
Work for all students will be sent out by their class teachers on Edulink this morning.
Once again, we will communicate through our normal channels tomorrow morning.
