Celebrations as Ormiston Horizon Academy students collect their GCSE results

Students at Ormiston Horizon Academy, in Stoke-on-Trent, are celebrating their achievements after receiving GCSE results today. 

Staff and students at the academy, which is part of Ormiston Academies Trust, have come together to mark the achievements of all the students, who have worked hard over the past couple of years to secure these grades.

Individual standout achievements include:

  • Owen Bowler who successfully achieved a grade 9 in mathematics, English literature, science, geography and history.
  • Daniel Moran who achieved a grade 9 in English literature and art, alongside grade 8s in chemistry, physics and history. These results will support Daniel in his future career as an architect.
  • Gracie Harris who achieved a grade 9 in English language, alongside a range of other outstanding grades in history, English literature and religious studies.
  • Danielle Nyakudya, who played a significant role in a number of academy shows and musicals, achieved a Distinction in dance and a grade 7 in her English literature which will support her to pursue her career in Theatre.
  • Other students to have performed incredibly well with a range of excellent grades across all subjects are Amelie Barlow, Finn Burton and Kieron Mack.
