Ormiston Horizon students celebrate after receiving GCSE results
Students at Ormiston Horizon Academy are celebrating today after receiving their GCSE results, as they get ready to take their next steps in their education journey.
Everyone has come together to mark the achievements of all the students, who have worked exceptionally hard, throughout very difficult circumstances, over the past couple of years to secure these grades.
Alongside the continued success of the academy, some particular individual highlights include:
• Joshua Walklate who successfully achieved a grade 9 in English Language and a grade 8 in both English Literature and Mathematics, alongside Georgette Goring who achieved a Grade 9 in English Literature and English Language
• Maisy Garside who had a particularly challenging and emotional year, achieved a grade 9 in English Literature.
• Joseph Moores is one of our most resilient students and always works to the very best of his ability and has achieved a range of GCSE grades at grade 4 and above.
• Rehan Malik demonstrated a fantastic work ethic throughout his five years at OHA and finished with the highest progress across the year group.
Mr Fitzgibbon said:
“We are all extremely proud and impressed by all of our Year 11 cohort at Ormiston Horizon Academy, who showed real responsibility and resilience in order to achieve these results. The work ethic they have cultivated during their time with us will stand them in good stead for whatever it is they choose to do in the future and we will watch with pride as they go on to achieve great things”
