Chess debut

Congratulations to our first-ever OHA competitive chess players!

The academy took a team along to a well-attended tournament at Ormiston Sir Stanley Mathews. Despite these being the first competitive matches for most of the students, we had some great success with several wins. With Chess Club launching officially after half-term (details to follow), we hope this is just the beginning of an enjoyable chess journey for students at the academy.

The first team was a mix of students across year groups. Congratulations to Kiera, Eleanor, Jack, Casper, Connor, Enrico, and Oscar.
