Last week, the U14 girls’ football team played their first-ever competitive fixture against Haywood Academy. The girls played brilliantly and came within seconds of winning, were it not for a last-minute goal from Haywood, resulting in a 1-1 draw. This was a massive achievement, and their hard work was evident through their commitment to Friday afternoon training. Their efforts, along with their search for 11v11 games, have led to the creation of the first-ever Stoke-on-Trent School Girls Football League. The girls were amazing and deserve immense praise for their dedication.
