Students help feed those in need

On Monday 16th January, our Year 8 PT head chefs and leaders made over 50 care packages of spaghetti bolognese to donate to the Lou Macari Centre. Lou himself, came into the academy to meet with the leaders and collect the food. The students prepared, cooked and served up the meals, under the fantastic supervision of Miss Elson and Mrs Ridgway. A fantastic way to start the new year; caring and supporting others through times of need. We also presented our cheque of over £200, of funds raised in October from the entire academy. We hope the money raised will be able to help more people who need it, in whichever way the centre sees fit.
