University Languages Experience

Language students enjoyed a trip to the “Chester university languages department” where they experienced language learning sessions with university lecturers.

In Spanish, they were able to demonstrate their understanding of the differences between the two verbs “to be” estar and ser and they also had to ‘guess’ the identity of the celebrity which was stuck on our backs. Students had to ask certain questions in Spanish in order to identify the name, profession and nationality of the celebrity. Students listened to different types of Spanish music and then had to decide whether it was salsa, reggaeton etc and which county it originated from.

In French students learned about festivals and francophone countries and irregular French verbs and which ending to use. There was a Q&A and many students asked about different courses available to study at university and the benefits of gaining a degree.
