Ormiston Horizon Academy celebrates student achievements

Students at Ormiston Horizon Academy, in Chell, Stoke – on – Trent are celebrating today after receiving their GCSE results, as they get ready to take their next steps in their education journey.

Staff and students have come together to mark the achievements of all the students, who have worked exceptionally hard over the past couple of years to secure these grades.

Alongside the continued success of the academy, which is sponsored by Ormiston Academies Trust (OAT), some particular individual highlights include:

  • Lewis Adams and Grace Ainsworth both achieved excellent outcomes across a range of subjects with Lewis achieving a grade 8 in Mathematics and Grace achieving a remarkable grade 9 in English Literature.
  • Joshua Harris, Lucy Elkin, Alex Bowler and Jack Pye all performed particularly well in their examinations, demonstrating outstanding knowledge across a range of subjects. They have just returned from Florida after representing Ormiston Academy Trust in an international STEM event.
  • Aaliyah Lyndsey demonstrated a significant amount of resilience and motivation during her time at OHA. She achieved a grade 5 in both English Literature and Art & Design. She will be now preparing to join the Armed Forces.
  • Twins, Lily and Emily Faith both produced an outstanding array of GCSE results, achieving grade 9s in English Literature and grade 8s in English Language. Both students are going to Newcastle College to study A-Levels.
